Your Art is Not Your Identity by ~StephenMcCranie on deviantART

This is super long so I'm going to keep my own comments short. I can relate to this and I'm sure a lot of other people can as well, especially if you substitute art for whatever you're intothe meaning stands the same. (Click on it to see a bigger version.)

the beginning by *viria13 on deviantART

What can I say? This picture is positively adorable~! (I am such a Potterhead XD) My favorite Marauder here is probably Moony (Remus Lupin, second from left), he just looks so cute! ^^

Figured it was about time I feature something again! ^^

Ruby Slippers - Wizard of Oz by *Yukilefay on deviantART

These are probably the BEST Wizard of Oz replica slippers I've ever seen. The attention to detail is phenomenal.

Art Feature 9/11/12

I'm almost too late, there's only 30 minutes left for the 11th where I am but I wanted to post something in remembrance of the terrible tragedy that took place 11 years ago on this day.

...I'm an hour early but that doesn't matter. September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day.

To Write Love on Her Arms by ~C4M30 on deviantART

To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. I will be writing "love" on my arms today for all the people who struggle with this. To those who do: please, know that someone cares and you are not alone; I promise.

The Transformation by *elotta on deviantART

I don't normally feature images with partial nudity but The Little Mermaid was a part of my childhood and this is a beautiful (if not a little disturbing) rendition of Ariel's transformation. While I'm glad this wasn't how they did it in the movie (as it would have scared the pee out of me as a child) I simply love this portrayal now. Every part of this image is incredibly detailed, I don't think there's a single aspect I don't like. ^^

Maleficent by *RobShields on deviantART

Surprisingly, I found this image while scrolling through Facebook rather than deviantART--which is rather odd considering it received a "Daily Deviation" award and I tend to log on to deviantART more than Facebook; but I digress.
This is an interesting take on one of Disney's greatest villains, I don't believe I've ever seen something quite like it. She looks quite stunning and much younger than how she is usually depicted--yet she is somehow still as threatening as always.
